CITB Grants for Plant and Lifting NVQs

CITB-registered employers can claim grant funding when employees complete eligible Plant and Lifting Operations NVQs with CADUK Skills Academy Skills Academy.

All of our Plant and Lifting Operations NVQs are CITB grant eligible and are designed to help experienced operators upgrade their Red CPCS or NPORS Trained Operator Card to the relevant Blue Competent Operator Card.

CITB-registered employers can currently claim up to £600 after an eligible CSA Plant or Lifting Operations NVQ is completed.

How CITB grant funding works for CSA NVQs

CITB-registered employers can currently claim a grant of up to £600 when an employee completes an eligible Plant or Lifting Operations NVQ with CADUK Skills Academy Skills Academy.

The grant is paid per learner, per NVQ achieved, after the qualification has been completed and certificated. The employer makes the claim directly to CITB, and any payment is made by CITB directly to the employer.

Employers must be CITB-registered and up to date with levy returns, even where they are exempt from levy payment.

How to claim the CITB grant

The claim is normally handled by the employer after the eligible NVQ has been achieved. CADUK Skills Academy can provide qualification information, but the grant claim itself is made directly through CITB.

1. Check eligibility

Confirm that your business is CITB-registered, your levy position is up to date and the chosen Plant or Lifting Operations NVQ is currently eligible for grant funding.

2. Complete the NVQ

The candidate completes their NVQ with CADUK Skills Academy Skills Academy through workplace evidence, assessor observation and a recorded discussion with their assessor.

3. Submit the claim

After completion and certification, the employer submits the grant claim directly to CITB. CITB pays eligible grant funding to the employer.
