    Once registered, your assessor will explain the assessment process and how to send your evidence directly.

    Who Is This NVQ For?

    This qualification is for experienced plant operators who are already operating plant on site and hold a valid CPCS or NPORS red card for the plant category being assessed.

    • Experienced plant operators
    • Operators with a valid CPCS or NPORS red card
    • Candidates currently operating the relevant plant category
    • Operators who can provide evidence from live site work
    • People looking to upgrade from a red trained operator card
    • Not suitable for trainees who have not passed theory and practical tests

    What Evidence Will You Need?

    Evidence is based on your normal plant operations work. You do not need to attend classroom sessions or complete written exams, and simulation is not used for this NVQ.

    • Short site videos of you operating the machine
    • Site photographs
    • Plant checks or pre-use inspection records
    • RAMS, task briefs or method statements
    • Site induction or toolbox talk records
    • Timesheets, job sheets or work records
    • Witness testimony from a competent supervisor or manager
